Exceptional AI and HPC Computing Performance
The R880 F8 is built on the NVIDIA HGX™ B300 system, leveraging NVIDIA NVLink™ and NVLink™ Switch technologies to deliver up to 1.8 TB/s of GPU-to-GPU interconnect bandwidth, significantly enhancing multi-GPU communication and parallel computing efficiency.
With more than 2.3 TB of HBM3e GPU memory and up to 64 TB/s of aggregate GPU memory bandwidth, the R880 F8 supports larger AI models, longer context lengths, and demanding workloads across generative AI, LLM training, inference, and HPC.
High-Speed Networking and Flexible Expansion for an Efficient AI Scale-Out Architecture
The R880 F8 integrates NVIDIA ConnectX®-8 SuperNIC™, providing 8 high-speed GPU network interfaces with support for up to 800 Gb/s XDR InfiniBand or dual 400 Gb/s Ethernet, delivering the high-bandwidth scale-out connectivity required for large-scale distributed AI training and inference.
The system also provides 8 × 2.5-inch PCIe Gen5 NVMe drive bays, 2 × M.2 PCIe Gen5 slots, and 4 × FHHL PCIe Gen5 x16 expansion slots. For storage protection, it supports the next-generation GRAID SupremeRAID™ AE GPU-accelerated NVMe RAID solution, leveraging GPU acceleration to deliver data protection while maintaining high NVMe storage performance. Alternatively, the system can be configured with a RAID expansion card and up to 4 M.2 NVMe SSDs to support RAID 0, 1, or 10 configurations. These flexible networking, storage, and RAID options enable optimized deployment across AI, HPC, and cloud infrastructure environments.
Centralized Management, Intelligent Operations, and AI Workload Optimization
The R880 F8 features an ASPEED® AST2600 BMC, providing comprehensive remote monitoring and system management capabilities that enable IT teams to monitor system health, power, and thermal conditions in real time.
Combined with the Altos aiWorks AI computing platform and Altos Smart Server Manager (ASSM), the R880 F8 further integrates GPU resource management, workload scheduling, system monitoring, and AI development and deployment workflows.
